Last week, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that starting September 9 casinos would be able to open at 25% occupancy. In order to get back to business, casinos must adhere to strict safety protocols, including enhanced air filtration, ventilation and purification standards in place in order to open.

On Long Island, Jake's 58 in Islandia reopened at 8am on Wednesday, the first day it was allowed.
They announced the opening saying that they will have a reduced number of active video gaming machines at least 6 feet apart and employees and guests required to wear face coverings. A number of other changes will be implemented to make sure COVID-19 standards are met including the elimination of valet parking, coat check, scooter rentals and wheelchair availability.
