Ocean’s Eleven Casino and the Card Player Poker Tour have joined forces to put on ten San Diego Classic events over the past four years. More than 8,200 entries have been made across those ten tournaments, with more than $2.1 million in prize money awarded.

The tournament features the main event with 7 legs and a guaranteed $150,000 in prize pool money.
Those numbers are only going to continue to grow, as the CPPT and Ocean’s Eleven are set to host three more San Diego Classic events in 2020. While not all details are yet finalized, the three events are currently scheduled to take place on Jan. 23-26, April 23-26, and July 23-26.
The $250 buy-in tournaments will have six starting flights to choose from, with two flights per day for the first three days of the event. Players can choose from the morning flight at 10 a.m., the evening flight starting at 6 p.m, or even play both flights each day! Players will also be able to take advantage of the popular Quantum Tournament structure of this event and buy-in directly on day 2.
The most recent running of this event took place in July of 2019. A total of 926 total entries were made in the event, with Brazilian poker pro Mateus Lessa earning $43,120 as the eventual champion. Two-time WSOP bracelet winner and World Poker Tour main event champion Erick Lindgren managed to make a run to the final table as one of the day 2 direct entries. Lindgren was ultimately knocked out in fifth place, earning $10,870 for his deep run in this event.
